Who we are
Easyplug is operated by easyplug, the controller of the personal data described in this policy. For anything about your data, write to support@easy-plug.co. This policy covers the Easyplug app on iOS and Android.
Your account
Your email address, the name you give us or that Apple or Google returns when you sign in with them, and your preferences. We use them to run your account and to contact you about it. Sign-in is handled by Supabase; if you use a password, it is never visible to us.
Charging and payments
Your charging sessions, receipts, charging passes and RFID cards, and the identifiers Stripe gives us for your payment methods. Card details are entered in Stripe's own secure form and go straight to Stripe. We never see or store the full card number.
Vehicles and home address
The vehicles and home address you add, so we can suggest compatible chargers and plan routes. You can edit or remove them at any time.
Location
With your permission, your precise location while the app is open, to show nearby chargers, sort them by distance and plan routes. We never collect it in the background. Without that permission, the app estimates an approximate area (roughly your city) from your IP address so the map can still start near you.
Camera, photos and QR codes
The camera scans a charger's QR code, which is read on your device and not stored. If you choose to add a station photo, from the camera or your library, it is uploaded and shown to other drivers with that station.
Reviews
Reviews and ratings you post about a station are public to other drivers, with your display name. You can delete them at any time.
Assistant
If you use the in-app assistant, your messages and the station or trip details it needs are sent to OpenRouter and the AI model provider it routes to, only to write the answer. If you speak a question or have an answer read aloud, the recording or the answer’s text is sent to ElevenLabs only to turn it into text or speech; neither the recording nor the audio is kept by us. Your conversations are kept on your device. If you send a request to support from the assistant, we keep its summary, your replies and our answers until two years after it is resolved; the conversation is attached only if you choose to include it, and is deleted 90 days after the request is resolved.
Calendar
If you allow calendar access, the app reads your upcoming events that have a location, on your device only, to suggest charging before you leave. Event details are never uploaded.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, we store a push token for your device so we can tell you when a session starts, stops or fails.
Analytics, only if you agree
The app asks before collecting any analytics. If you agree, it sends PostHog the screens you open, the actions you take and error reports, tied to your account identifier only, never your email or name. You can turn this off at any time in Settings.
Technical data
Our servers receive your IP address, device model and operating system with each request. We use them to deliver the service, keep it secure and prevent abuse.
Who receives your data
We share data only with the providers that run the service for us, and only what each needs: Supabase (hosting, database, sign-in), Stripe (payments), the charge-point operator of each charger you use (to start, stop and bill the session), Apple and Google (sign-in and notification delivery), Expo (notification delivery), OpenRouter and the AI model provider it routes to (the assistant), ElevenLabs (the assistant’s voice: speech to text and text to speech), PostHog (analytics, only with your consent), ipinfo (approximate location from IP) and Google Maps (map display on Android). We do not sell personal data, show ads, or share data for advertising.
Why we are allowed to use it
To perform our contract with you (your account, charging, payments and receipts); with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time (location, camera, photos, calendar, notifications, analytics); for our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure and preventing fraud; and to meet legal obligations such as tax and accounting.
International transfers
Some of these providers process data outside the European Economic Area, notably in the United States. When they do, the transfer relies on safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
Account data, vehicles, reviews and photos: until you delete them or your account. Charging and payment records: for as long as tax and accounting law requires, up to 10 years. Push tokens: until you sign out or turn notifications off. Analytics: up to 12 months. Technical logs: a few weeks.
How we protect it
Data is encrypted in transit, access to it is restricted to what each part of the service needs, and each driver can only reach their own records.
Deleting your account
In the app: Settings → Delete account. Without the app: email support@easy-plug.co from your account's address. Deletion removes your profile and everything you own in the app. Charge records an operator already issued remain theirs, and we keep the payment records that the law requires.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, export or erase your data, to restrict or object to its use, and withdraw any consent, by writing to support@easy-plug.co. Permissions can also be revoked at any time in your phone's settings. You may lodge a complaint with your data protection authority: in France, the CNIL.
Children
Easyplug is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we update the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell you in the app before they apply.
